Patrick Andy began playing bass at 17 in Madagascar. Since moving to NYC, he has worked with Christian artists Andrae Crouch, Freddy Rodriguez; Latin artist Obie Bermudez; R&B artists Wyclef Jean, Nikky Yanofsky, Aaradhna; bassists Meshell Ndengeocello, Matt Garrison; guitarists Leni Stern, Lionel Loueke; World music artists Vieux Farka Toure, Diblo Dibala, pianist Meddy Gerville; drummers Carlito Mendoza, Francisco Mela, Obed Calvaire and Chris Dave, guitarist Lionel Loueke, sax players Greg Tardy and Bob Franceschini, just to name a few. He plays bass at Times Square Church. Patrick plays Fodera basses, LaBella strings, Source Audio, Xotic and EBS bass pedals, Kala Ukulele bass, and Aguilar amps. Patrick Andy Band’s music is a mix of World Music and Gospel Jazz Rock, heavily influenced by rhythm from Madagascar. Patrick Andy Band played at various jazz clubs (Shapeshifter Lab, Club Bonafide, Zinc Bar) and churches and festivals in The U.S. and Mexico.
