Bad Mary
Bad Mary
Drawing influence from the likes of Blondie and The Ramones, Green Day and No Doubt, Bad Mary has created their own strain of punk that takes you back to New York in the 70’s but with a modern vibe. Their first album, Better Days, garnered three first-round ballot Grammy nominations, for Best Rock Performance (Ninja, Forget About It) and Best Rock Song (Ninja). Both 'Forget About It' and 'Don't Know Where the Line Is' were played during the 2014 NBA finals at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC. The band makes their home on Long Island, New York and have played classic venues such as Arlene’s Grocery, the Bowery Electric, the Trash Bar, and Revolution. They have scored airplay on both U.S. and U.K. radio and are currently writing songs for their next album.
Zombie Sundae
Zombie Sundae
MADELEINE PLA is the fierce frontwoman of Zombie Sundae. She honed her vocal sound with extensive training at UC Berkeley where she received her degree in Music. She has years of experience starring in various musical theater productions and fronting high school rock bands. As a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist (Piano, Guitar, and Bass), she is comfortable in front of any size crowd, having performed in intimate coffee house settings as well as 5000+ attended football stadiums. All this, combined with her love for glitter and all things dark, molded her into the fiery songstress she is today.
BEN SCHAARE, hard-hitting guitarist for the band, hails from New Zealand, having played shows all throughout the lower North Island and winning the Smokefree Rockquest Battle of the Bands regional award for Best Lyricist. He is a self-taught musician.
JACOB LANE is the powerhouse drummer of Zombie Sundae. He studied Jazz and Alternative Music with a Julliard School Graduate, performed in the Canadian Music Festival in Toronto, and was featured on drums in the MTV music video for Ricky Jarman’s R&B song “Make It Happen”. He’s been in many Alt bands, playing drums, guitar, and bass.
PHILLIP KERGER, a classically trained musician, is bassist for the band. He grew up in Germany playing guitar since age 8, and performed with a classical guitar orchestra until he journeyed to New York City, where he picked up the bass. His training allowed him to quickly transfer his skills to the new instrument…and now he can’t get enough of it.
JORDAN MEL hails from New Jersey and has been playing guitar since age 10. He now brings all those hours of practice to Zombie Sundae. He was taught guitar by Ed Fuhrman, of Hades, then trained at School of Rock for 6 years where he also learned piano and vocals and taught himself bass and drums. He has a considerable background in heavy metal and isn’t afraid to shred when he wants to.
This is ZOMBIE SUNDAE...They're Fast. They're Loud. They're Alt Rock.
The Shipwrecks
The Shipwrecks
Since 2010 the Shipwrecks, from Long Island, have been playing their own style of surfy punk rock reggae ska music for the people to dance to. The band consists of stringsmen/vocalists Matty Periscopes & Captain Wiggles, along with Stevie Seaweeds on trumpet and radical dance moves, and holding it all together behind the drum kit is none other than Billy Barnacles himself dominating the Schaefer beers. With over 1 billion beers drank collectively, the band's federally trademarked slogan "MORE BEER PARTY®" says it all!
