Queens County Roots
Queens County Roots
Queens, NYC-based musicians Marlon Hurt and Alex Fedorow met in the early 2010s playing in a piano rock outfit before Marlon founded the original blues band The Hurt Project, and Alex joined the pop rock group Gillian. The two decided to combine these blues and pop influences in early 2017, forming Queens County Roots, whose heavily rhythmic but playfully melodic blues rock is aimed at getting bodies moving.

The band is:
Jenna Hanlon, lead vocals
Marlon Hurt, guitar, vocals
Lyndol Descant, keyboards, vocals
Alex Fedorow, bass
Chris Glover, drums

Jenna is a Long Island native who, along with her work as an alternative soul vocalist, is also a classically trained cellist. She comes to QCR from groups such as Ghost Lit Kingdom. Marlon grew up down South, in Atlanta, GA, and was the driving artistic force behind the NYC-based original blues band The Hurt Project, as well as lead guitarist for The Conditionals and The Brooklyn Blues Project. Lyndol is a composer, singer and pianist from Houston, TX, leader of The Descant Trio, and a jazz piano and composition alum of the American School of Modern Music in Paris, France. Alex, a Queens native and former techno and trance DJ, played bass in several bands before joining Gillian in 2013, with whom he toured the east coast and the south. Chris is originally from Vancouver, and a veteran of NYC-based bands like Dear Comrade and Circadian Clock.
Honey Trap
Honey Trap
Honey Trap is a 4 member, female fronted New York City based rock band that formed in the summer of 2014 which juxtaposes sensual yet edgy vocals over melodic guitar, groovy base lines and heavy hitting beats.
The band recorded their first EP in 2015 titled 'Four Play' with recording engineer Steven Albini at Electrical Audio Chicago, IL. utilizing traditional analog tracking methods which has been going obsolete against modern digital tracking. 'Four Play' was mastered with 4x Grammy nominated Joe Laporta of Sterling Sound New York, NY.
Honey Trap believes in bringing back the fading hard rock scene and is known to play a variety of small and large venues including but not limited to underground shows, public/private/VIP events, house parties, festivals, galleries and cabaret acts featuring their signature go-go dancing honey bee. Honey Trap exudes raw rock & roll stage presence and gets the audience up slam dancing.
