Kate Merrill
Originally from Portland, Maine, Kate Merrill has been developing and honing her sound in the New York City Music scene for the past several years. Her voice has been described as Sia meets Duffy. She is releasing her debut EP 'Moving On' in July, which features the single 'Higher Place.' 'Moving On' was written to signify the growth and changes of Kate as an artist throughout her time in New York City.
Kate also works for a Denver based band called Style throughout the state of Colorado.

Her performances around NYC include appearances at The Bowery Electric, The Bitter End, The Cutting Room, The Way Station, Union Hall, among others. Her EP release show will be held at Arlene's Grocery in the Lower East Side of Manhattan in September.

Kate's music education began at Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY where she earned credits as a Musical Theatre Major, with a concentration in Vocal Performance. She went on to graduate from Wagner College in 2009 with a B.S. in Arts Administration with a concentration in Music and Theater. She also studied under the classical voice instruction of Lynne Vardaman and Elizabeth McCullough.
